Heart Start CPR training

Overview

Representatives from HeartStart ran a CPR workshop with a group of young people from Bridge of Don Academy.

During the session, pupils from S3-6 learned how to put someone into the recovery position and use defibrillators.

Results and effectiveness

The pupils engaged really well and were eager to find out more.

All left with an improved understanding of how to perform CPR.

Additional benefits

This training was particularly relevance for some of the young people who are interested in exploring a career in the health sector.

As defibrillators become more widely available in the community, it is important that young people are familiar with how to use them.
