A series of insight sessions aimed at equipping pupils with knowledge, confidence and practical tools to successfully navigate their final year of school and beyond.
The final year of school is a big one, with increasing responsibilities for pupils. As part of their induction, S6 pupils from Cults Academy participated in a skill building and personal development programme, incorporating bite-sized sessions from various industry professionals.
The programme structure was diverse and encompassed the following topics:
The programme covered a broad spectrum of subjects that will support the school's most senior cohort as they become role models in their school and wider community.
The sessions touched on important areas such as accountability, self-awareness, motivation, communication, mental resilience, risk management and financial literacy.
Practical exercises and tips were woven throughout the sessions to support the pupils' understanding of, and engagement with, the topics.
“The skill and personal development sessions provided our pupils with a valuable opportunity to reflect on their strengths, motivations, and areas for growth. It was encouraging to see them engage thoughtfully and purposefully with the individual activities. This kind of learning is essential for preparing our pupils not just for future careers, but for life.”
