A life skills workshop, delivered by Stork, provided S6 pupils with an insight into payslips and budgeting.
Daniel Stephen, Learning & Development Consultant from Stork, talked pupils through pay slips, budgeting and the importance of pension schemes during an interactive life skills workshop.
The session aimed to prepare S6 pupils for making their way into the world of work. They learned how to read and understand a pay slip, as well as considering the bills they might have to budget for. The importance of pensions, and the process of auto enrolment, was also covered.
The workshop included tasks, such as working out the tax rate on a salary, to enhance pupils' awareness and understanding.
