Sustainability, speed networking and entrepreneurial skills were all on the menu at Kemnay Academy's Young Enterprise Business Breakfast.
Senior pupils and staff from Kemnay Academy welcomed industry representatives for a morning of connection, collaboration and creativity as part of the pupils' Young Enterprise projects. After an insightful presentation from Business Gateway, employer representatives from a variety of sectors joined an interactive networking session.
Throughout the morning, pupils pitched their projects, showcased product prototypes, and answered questions about their business models, marketing strategies, and future plans.

The objectives of the session were threefold: to promote sustainability, provide networking opportunities and foster skills development. The event exceeded expectations in all areas. It sparked conversations about eco-friendly innovation, provided lots of interaction between the young people and employers, and allowed pupils to develop their presentation, event management and teamworking skills.
The event provided a catalyst for the school and local industry representatives to explore how they could deepen their partnership work, with many of the employer representatives offering further support.

It also gave Kemnay Academy's pupil barista team additional event catering experience; they were on hand during the breakfast to provide guests with hot drinks and pastries.
A week-long series of coffee conversations provided an opportunity for Oldmachar Academy pupils to chat with representatives from key industry sectors.
S6 pupils from Mearns Academy gained their first experience of an assessment centre during an off-site day hosted at Norwood Hall Hotel.
