Overview

The sessions, which were led by HR professionals, were designed to reinforce and enhance some of the topics that teachers were covering with the S3 pupil cohort. These included:

  • Business standards
  • Language
  • Time management
  • Attendance
  • Attitude to work
  • Social media and online behaviour
  • Mobile phone use
  • Meta skills.

Results and effectiveness

The entire S3 year group attended four separate sessions, all of which were interactive and well received.

Additional benefits

While the themes were already being covered in school, it added value to have these reiterated by industry professionals, who could directly relate the subject matter to the world of work and the conduct expected in their own organisations.
