Commando Chef and the Royal Marines Education Awareness Team have completed their tour of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, delivering presentations and workshops to around 600 North-east secondary school pupils.
From November 10 to 16, Commando Chef and the Royal Marines Education Awareness Team visited five different secondary schools across the North-east - Banff Academy, Peterhead Academy, Meldrum Academy, Harlaw Academy, and Cults Academy.
At each of the visits, pupils were given enthusing, inspiring and educating presentations and workshops from Commando Chef and the Royal Marines Education Awareness Team, with food being used as a platform to talk about the next step in life for young people.
One pupil from Meldrum Academy said: "It was really good. I liked watching him cook and listening to how they lived when they were training”.
Another Meldrum Academy pupil added: "They were funny, and I liked hearing about the equipment - it was really heavy".
"Thank you everybody for having us. 5 schools, 600 students, plenty of mileage and coffee! Keep safe everybody and let’s do it again soon." - Commando Chef a.k.a CSgt Mike Beaton MBE, Serving Royal Marines Commando and Royal Marines chef
