Entry terms and conditions


Eligibility

The DYW Connect Awards are open to young people, educators, employers, and partners operating within Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire and for each appropriate category.

Third‑Party Nominations

You are welcome to nominate an individual, business or organisation. Please note if you do, we will not contact your nominee directly. If they are shortlisted, we'll let you know so you can share the good news with them. We will also ask you to put them in touch with us. Occasionally, a person or group is nominated more than once. If this happens, you may not hear from us although your nominee has been shortlisted. Please keep an eye out for the shortlist announcement following the submission deadline.

Confidential Information

Any information that nominees do not wish to be published must be clearly marked as CONFIDENTIAL.

Accuracy of Information

All nominations must be submitted by an authorised individual, and nominators are responsible for ensuring the information provided is true and accurate.

Liability for Submissions

DYW North East accepts no responsibility for lost, incomplete, or damaged entries.

DYW North East reserves the right not to present an award in any category if nominations do not meet the required standard.

Conflict of Interest

Judges must declare any conflict of interest with DYW North East and applicants must inform them of any conflicts of interest also.

Judging Decisions

All decisions made by the judging panel.

Finalist Participation

Finalists must agree to participate in promotional activities, which may include interviews, photography, or short video filming connected to DYW North East. Dates for any photography, filming, or promotional activity will be issued to finalists.

Publication of Finalists

Finalists will be publicly promoted via the DYW North East website, social media channels, and partner communications.

Use of Data

Information provided in winning entries may be used for case studies, marketing content, or event materials, unless clearly marked as CONFIDENTIAL.

Attendance Requirement

Finalists must ensure an appropriate representative attends the DYW Connect Awards ceremony on Thursday 18 June 2026 at Ardoe House Hotel between 10-2pm. Two free tickets will be offered per finalist.
