DYW North East seeks new board members

DYW North East is seeking two new members to join its board and help shape its work to support young people in the region.

DYW North East is recruiting for board members to supports its work to connect employers and education, helping the region's young people make informed career choices.

Board members play an important part in shaping DYW North East's overall strategic direction and goals. The roles, which are voluntary, require a passion for supporting the next generation coupled with experience and sector-specific expertise.

"We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with digital, creative, financial or audit backgrounds," says Margo Milne, Director, DYW North East. "Increasing the depth and breadth of our board profile allows us to strengthen our overall performance, which in turn benefits the young people in our area.

"We are an ambitious, friendly and forward-thinking team, who are excited about welcoming new personalities with fresh ideas, skills and knowledge."

DYW North East makes it easier for employers to connect with young people in schools and colleges across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. It plays a key part in the delivery of the Young Person's Guarantee, a commitment to connect every 16-24 year old in Scotland to an opportunity.
