Mearns & Gill and Grampian Construction Training are delighted to confirm that the Build Your Future Schools Construction Challenge will return for 2021/22.

The aim of the challenge is to raise the profile of the construction industry to S2 pupils, parents, and teachers, and to highlight the range of exciting and rewarding career opportunities there are out there.

The Build Your Future Schools Construction Challenge will return for 2021/22.

The challenge has been a huge success over the past couple of years and feedback has shown that pupils and teachers have come away with a better understanding of what a career in construction looks like, and hopefully a bit of inspiration to pursue a career in construction in the future.

Despite having to run the event completely digitally last year, all the participating schools really put their all into the competition which resulted in a great set of heats and finals.

Although a lot of things are returning to something resembling normality, the organisers felt it was still too soon to return to a fully physical event in 2021/22. The aim is to bring the challenge to schools virtually again, with the heats taking place week commencing 6th December 2021. The final will take place mid to late February 2022 and plans for this remain flexible for now.

If your school would like to put forward a team/teams of 10 x S2 pupils to take part in the challenge, please contact Sarah at sarah.young@mearns-gill.com for further information and a registration form.
