No wrong path

This Scottish Exam Results Day (7 August 2018), DYW groups across Scotland are again celebrating the range and diversity of career paths that are followed after leaving school.

We know that some young people may be disappointed with their exam results and so we are aiming to promote the message that many people in interesting job roles across Scotland may not have taken a straight, obvious or traditional path to get there!

On 7 August, we encourage you to share a snippet of your story - what you did when you left school and where you are now. We want to convey a message to young people that there are a variety of ways to get into a variety of job roles - that there is #NoWrongPath.

How to get involved

Step 1 Pledge your support for the campaign and mark 7 August 2018 in your diary.

Step 2 Get others involved. Gain support from your friends and colleagues and encourage them to do the same.

Step 3 Do it! On 7 August, post a photograph of yourself holding a handwritten sign outlining your name, what you did when you left school and what you are doing now. Why not shake it up with a video? Remember to use the hashtag #nowrongpath and tag us @DYW_NorthEast!
